Qubahan Political Journal (QPJ) welcomes legitimate concerns regarding editorial procedures, peer review, publication ethics, journal policies, or published content.

Editorial Appeals

Authors may appeal an editorial decision where they believe that a significant factual misunderstanding, procedural error, or demonstrable error in evaluation materially affected the decision.

An appeal should:

• identify the manuscript;
• identify the decision being appealed;
• explain the specific factual or procedural grounds; and
• provide relevant supporting evidence.

An appeal is not simply an additional round of peer review and should not merely repeat arguments that have already been considered.

Where reasonably possible, an appeal will be evaluated by an editor who was not responsible for the original decision.

Complaints

Complaints concerning journal conduct, editors, reviewers, policies, procedures, ethics, or published material should provide sufficient information to permit meaningful investigation.

Complaints Involving the Editor-in-Chief

Where a complaint concerns the Editor-in-Chief, the matter should be handled by an appropriate independent senior editor or publisher representative who was not involved in the disputed matter.

Confidentiality and Fairness

Complaints and appeals will be handled fairly, respectfully, and as confidentially as reasonably possible.

QPJ will not retaliate against authors, reviewers, readers, researchers, or other parties who raise legitimate concerns in good faith.

Final Outcome

The journal will communicate the outcome of an appeal or complaint after appropriate review.

Where the matter concerns research integrity or the published scholarly record, QPJ may take action under its Publication Ethics and Research Integrity Policy.
